These are very sturdy and you can tell they took into consideration that the targeted audience was indeed children so they didn't make a cheap product. I bought these over a yr or more ago for my son and they are in like new condition now and I'm having my daughter use them. You can't go wrong with these!

Perhaps it said it in the product description but I assumed there would be 100 individual cards so I can work with my 1st grader to count from 1-100. However, it goes from 1-50 on one side and 51-100 on the other side. It's not a huge deal but I find it annoying when I'm trying to count with my daughter and I have to interrupt her to rearrange the cards. They're cheap and they do the trick but I wish they were not 2-sided.

I absolutely love these cards! Iam trying to teach my 21 month old son his shapes and colors. These cards are made on a durable card stock type material, with the name of the color, the shape and the color itself. The colors are nice and bright.The best part is that each color has each shape! So, for example, it is not just a red square. There will be a red square, circle, triangle, oval, diamond and rectangle! (Each color has those 6 specific shapes)This is great for teaching him his first shapes and wonderful for learning colors. The colors that are included in this pack are black, blue, brown, green, orange, purple, red, white and yellow. It does not have pink, which I feel is a pretty common color but seeing as I have a son it isn't a big deal, haha! (Although he does seem to really like pink, hehe)Overall, I'm very satisfied with the quality, bright colors and love this educational tool for my toddler! I would recommend this for baby's / toddlers 1 to maybe 4 or 5 years of age.* I also purchased the "My first words" and the "Alphabet" flash cards from this same company and they are wonderful too!

I like the fact that this cards are well made, fast shipping, but is a bit disappointing that they failed with the blue color, my son gets confused and thinks is purple wich I agree. I think I have to find other color cards.

A friend recommended these Brighter Cards. I ordered several different card sets (shapes, letters, numbers, words, etc) and have been working them with my 2 year old. He likes the cards and the colors/ pictures on them. He also enjoys putting each card back in the box after we're done with it.All in all I think these are a good learning tool. And I love the low price!!!!My only complaint is that the cards are a bit on the thin side.....and when considering that toddlers will be handeling them, they should be thicker to ensure durability and longevity.

Cards arrived quickly and on time but when I opened them the colors were not clear and vibrant as pictured. They look like smeared colors with lines going through almost like the printer settings were off when printed. The Blue could almost be called purple. When working with the kids I love that the shapes and colors are together so you can have them learn both at one time or have a younger child say the color and ask an older child the shape. Cards do have a very nice finish on them for playing with the kids they would wipe off very easily and nice.Just wasn't 100% happy with them for what I wanted to use them for. Amazon was so great that I started a return and they credited me back and told me I didn't even have to return them so I will keep them for spares and maybe we will use for active play games.Thanks Amazon

We just got the cards, all 3 sets, and we're mostly disappointed. As others have pointed out, the cards are way too thin, flimsy, buckled, and don't lay flat... of course our kid has already crumpled or chewed on a couple of them. They can't even survive for 30 seconds. Of course we work to keep our little one away from them, as we interact the whole time, but don't kid yourself, your little one will grab them too, and they will get instantly demolished. Also, I can't stand the print job, especially on the 'color' set cards. The blue is more of a faded lavender type color, it doesn't even match the blue ink on the box. And all of the color shapes have kind of a muddy texture to them, like a low resolution print job or something. These are very, very cheap cards, I guess you get what you pay for. I will not return mine as I know they're already destroyed and its not worth it, but I sort of wish I did return them for the principal.

Colors/Shapes: I guess for $3 it's okay (3/5 stars)I bought these color/shape cards for my baby. Have to say I was disappointed in the quality even if it was $3. The coloring on all of them are very fuzzy and cheap. I don't know why they can get the words colored perfectly meanwhile the shapes are sloppily pasted on the cards. Cards are also very thin and came slightly curved. I do not have a problem with either of those two but it is worth noting. It was an OK purchase for a 2 year old but I would not buy this product again.Numbers: No complaints! (5/5 stars)The cards are very nice with a simple design. Like the color/shape cards, these cards are thin and also came slightly bend in the middle.Alphabet: Great cards! (4/5 stars)I like the cards very much. The drawings are very cute and easy to recognize. Like the above cards, these cards are also thin and curved. My only complaint is the word choices for some words. For example, they used "valentine" and "vulture" for V. What baby needs to know what a Valentine is? I thought "toucan" for T was also an odd word choice. But other than that, I have no other complaints! Great cards and my baby loves them. :)

The cards are OK for the price although a bit on the thin side . The bigger problem is the blue colored cards that look almost a lighter shade of purple and it will get confusing for my kid. The quality is like getting the a copy of a copy of a copy which ruins the colors. It's not worth returning but i will have to find a different set for the colors.

Beware of the test bank for this book. Many of the questions come from different chapters. Test questions are not covered in the chapter and many questions concerning drugs that are referenced no where. This is a well written book with a lot of great information. Too bad the test bank questions seem to come from a different edition. I can't wait to set this book on fire.

I bought this book for Level 2 nursing classes that have not started yet. It has been a great help with Level 1 as well. It breaks everything down for you. It has been great for working on my drug cards as well. Nursing students can not go wrong buying this book even for level one meds. I am very happy I decided to buy while still in level 1.

Not bad for a pharmacology book. Of course, how interesting is Pharm really going to be? But in general it is easy to read and understand and breaks things down pretty well. I would have given it 5 stars, but I just don't like pharmacology. But I have to say that the seller got it to me quickly in pristine condition.

I am using this product for my LPN program. I am please that the book was packaged so nicely with a receipt and instructions on how to return the item. I also did not aspect that there will be a atlas to the medication instructions in it. Thank you so much to the seller...

It was in kind of rough shape. From now on I will just buy my books. Some of the pages were sticky which is just a little disturbing and the writing and highlighting done by previous users is distracting.

this is one of the few reference books i could not put down. had been trying to untangle the puzzle of reciprocity, and Lutz's work inspired me to de-colonize my mind.

For a college class project.

An interesting book asserting emotions are culturally constructed. Lutz did fieldwork on Ifaluk, a Micronesian atoll, & studied the Ifaluk coneption of emotions & of the self. Ifaluk ethnopsychology includes such emotions as fago 'love/sadness/compassion', song 'justified anger', ker 'excitement/happiness/anger' & rus 'anxiety/panic/surprise.' What exactly does classing emotions differently mean? Do the Ifaluk people just call them different things? Do they *feel* different things than we do? What does it all mean? I am fascinated although not entirely convinced by this book. My grad school advisor suggests there are certain basic sort of proto-emotions that are generated by hormones & things basic to all human beings, but that how these are shaped & perceived depends on culture. Anyway, this is a really interesting book, & a good read (well-written). I highly recommend it.

About the Author

Sandra Cisneros is a poet, short story writer, novelist and essayist whose work explores the lives of the working-class. Her numerous awards include NEA fellowships in both poetry and fiction, the Texas Medal of the Arts, a MacArthur Fellowship, several honorary doctorates and national and international book awards, including Chicago’s Fifth Star Award, the PEN Center USA Literary Award, and the National Medal of the Arts awarded to her by President Obama in 2016. Most recently, she received the Ford Foundation’s Art of Change Fellowship, was recognized among The Frederick Douglass 200, and was awarded the PEN/Nabokov Award for Achievement in International Literature. Her classic, coming-of-age novel, The House on Mango Street, has sold over six million copies, has been translated into over twenty languages, and is required reading in elementary, high school, and universities across the nation. In addition to her writing, Cisneros has fostered the careers of many aspiring and emerging writers through two non-profits she founded: the Macondo Foundation and the Alfredo Cisneros del Moral Foundation. She is also the organizer of Los MacArturos, Latino MacArthur fellows who are community activists. Her literary papers are preserved in Texas at the Wittliff Collections at Texas State University.  Sandra Cisneros is a dual citizen of the United States and Mexico and earns her living by her pen. She currently lives in San Miguel de Allende.

This is a really beautiful piece that showcases Cisneros' writing outside of her fiction, which I adore. I preordered because I love anything Cisneros' authors, and I was surprised how much her writing is spread across different publications. There's a lot of breadth and depth in her writing, and I'm glad she has allowed us into her nonfiction works as well, as she continues to explore the boundaries of different writing genres. I love that each piece precedes commentary. The book also provides a great visual of photography, and it itself is pretty lengthy compared to Cisneros' usual publications (with exception of Caramelo). Some of the essays that resonated were ones about her Purple House, her appreciation of her fans, her experience meeting her muses, and many others. There is so much knowledge in her that I have to constantly look-up references, which I enjoy as it challenges my limited knowledge of the English language which Cisneros has clearly mastered, not to mention the Spanish. Highly recommended, as always.

This book was so funny and moving. She's such a passionate writer. She puts you right in the story because her characters and personalities are so alive. I met her twenty years ago and I still fondly remember her reading. The book is amazing and gave me lots of inspiration for making my home more beautiful. I also met so many interesting people. That's how I felt. The pics were very interesting. It's a must read for any fan. Bravo!

I couldn't put this book down! Each chapter stands alone. I read while drinking coffee in the morning, it was a delight! I ordered the book from Amazon for my daughter and also for my best friend's birthday. This memoir is especially appealing as I am older and appreciate her story, looking back over a lifetime of memories. Some sentences I would read aloud to my husband (but more so to my Self, capital "S!)

This book added so much insight and understanding to my understanding of Cisneros' life and work. Its an entertaining, thought provoking collection of essays and stories from a master storyteller. I have taught A House on Mango Street to high schoolers, and will be pulling from this book in the future for additional context. I thoroughly enjoyed this-- read it in one weekend.

I love Sandra Cisnero's writing style. Only a poet can present beautiful insights about life. It is written in short vignettes and covers many years and experiences. Cisneros also discusses what a writer's life is about...lots of time alone and discipline to keep writing. I love her honesty and stories about her family and its influences upon her.

Lively and engaging memoir and deeply moving essays by the author of The House on Mango Street and Caramelo, and all the wonderful poems. Highly recommended to carry on your Kindle and dip into for a short refreshing read of one piece or another where-ever you are stranded . . . whenever you are settled in your favorite coffee shop or home in bed with the phone off. Just invite Sandra in for a moment, and she'll consume the rest of your day . . .

Love this book. Sandra is such a talented writer. When you read her stories, you can visualize and feel what she is trying to convey. Here use of "Spanglish" works. She came to the college I work at to speak about her writing and life and read parts from this book. I highly recommend this book to you and especially if you are a Cisnero's fan.

Through stories, vignettes and poetic meanderings Cisneros defines her evolving sense of house, home, and herself. Her prose is lyrical and evocative, giving the reader a profound glimpse into Cisneros' life and path as she becomes a writer.
