I liked this boxed set a lot. I purchased it after reading the previous collection by the same author. She is really good and deserves five starts. She keeps the plot building, the romance on high, and the resolutions of good beating evil in each book is spot on. Knows the craft, great characters, strong plots that are resolved in each book. Lots of twists, conflict, rising tension provide action packed adventures of the paranormal sort with an HEA ending.

These are some of my favorite books by Lindsey Hall! The action slowly builds in each book and throughout the series. The relationships are believable and we'll written. If you like paranormal and fantasy this is a great book set!!!!

Absolutely love this world. The heroin is amazing and the love stories are so PG it's adorable. The love interest are pretty great too. All around great read. You'll be addicted to all of her stories and no time.

Don’t confuse this book with a book from the 1970s with the same title. This book deals with the same time series designs as that earlier book but reflects 50 years of thinking and technological advances. The new book is essentially an amped version of Shadish Cook and Campbell. It digs into issues of analysis, causality and validity in a much more comprehensive and satisfying way than one would ordinarily expect from a time series text. The book gets the reader to think hard about what is happening philosophically and logically with causality, validities, and analytics. It is a major strength of the volume that it pulls these points so tightly together. The book has several things that other texts don’t have – a healthy sense of humor for starters. It takes up the Bayesian question, transformations, and talks about model selection criteria and how to interpret results. It doesn’t do much on forecasting but conveys the flavor of what it is and how it works and doesn’t work. That was more than enough for me. There are about 50 worked out example analyses from a wide range of fields.

Many or all of these reviews appear to be for a different book. The book was published in 2017, but the reviewers date from earlier years and talk about topics that the book does not cover.

This is a pretty thorough textbook. However, if you are not an ISM major or do not have a passion for ISM, this is an extremely dry book. Might have something to do with the actual subject matter, but I have read other ISM textbooks that provide a much more enjoyable reading experience.

Good book. Mostly an easy read. But some of the information is not very relevant.

Not horrible, only bought it because my professor required it. Thank goodness I rented it, saved a lot of money. It is pretty similar to the 3rd edition books, give or a take like 2-3 chapters. System Analysis and Design is kind of common sense once you get used to it.

First of all this book has a lot of information, and I used it for a class so I'm sure it conveys most of the information accurately and that a lot of it is useful actually. I'm giving it 2 stars because I think the presentation of the information was that bad in some parts of the book. It's wordy, lengthy and hard to consume. It could have been much more straightforward and concise than it was, but hey it's a text book, right?If your getting it for a class then you may have to get it anyway. If you are thinking about getting it just to learn the subject, DON'T. There are free online sources, articles, and so forth about this kind of thing on programming blogs and online magazines and so forth. Or perhaps there is a more concise, straightforward book out there that you could buy.

Basically - ,"What the heck just happened?" Was my reaction after reading this book. If you know anything about the story of Lord Ganesha - this tale will leave you scratching your head. It actually says, "Lord Shiva was not ready for kids." Huh? What is he, an investment banker working overtime to pull in his first million?The author claims that it is a new telling based on a different version of the Ganesha myth. However, anyone who is familiar with the tale will just be left scratching their heads. It will be left high on a shelf never to be read again. As a non-Hindu, I didn't mind the new version of the tale, but that is just me - but it is not my culture, so why would it bother me if it is new. It it like picking up a bible story told in an "Apocrypha" version - not familiar but non-Christians would not know the difference.The author tries to make it more gentle by suggesting that Ganesha lost his original head in a tragic accident rather than his father cutting it off. Again, huh? Mythology can seem violent, but most of the time we are just used to the stories. There is no need to soften ancient stories to something else and to reduce it to a strange retelling, to fit modern sensibilities.

Absolutely beautifully illustrated and gentler story of how Ganesha obtained his elephant head. Contrary to the better know story where Shiva cuts off the head of Ganesha while he is guarding his mother's bath, this story sees the loss of the baby's head as an accident, when Lord Shani looks at the baby at Parvati's insistence and because of the Lord's power the baby's head disintegrates. To the rescue Lord Vishnu who brings the head of an elephant that sacrificed himself so that the child might live. What a story!

Bought this as part of the Build Your Library kindergarten curriculum. Wonderful book for any home library!

Beautiful pictures, but the story varies from the traditional story that most of us know. I suppose it's scary enough in this version for some very young children if they parents don't explain the background of the story before they read it to them, if the child isn't old enough to read. The pictures alone are worth the price.

This is a lovely book that really gets down and tells the story.One thing is this is the watered down version of the story and not exactly the version I grew up with but a valid version. In this version his head just denigrated from a blessing versus getting cut off by his father. Otherwise a good book.

Story is not the best but the illustrations are wonderful. Almost a mixture of European and Indian art that is breathtaking. They way Ganesh is draw is in my opinion the best out of all the characters. I would recommend if not just for the illustrations.

I got this as a gift and it is amazing the pictures and it was very loved by the children

Immediately rocketed to the top of my 5-year old's favorite book list. Months later, it is still a frequent bedtime story request. Beautiful illustrations make it interesting for adults, also.

Haven’t read it yet. It just lays on the shelf so people think I’m very sophisticated person. Hopefully I’ll read it one day.

What can be said about it? It's the translated work of Sigmund Freud.As a Behavior Analyst by trade, I am fascinated by the formative thinkers, Freud and Jung at the moment. These texts can be a bit daunting to read. The fact that it's translated means lots of extra brain power to make sense of some of the assertions Freud makes, but it's a worthwhile read.

Amazon and Pink Panda should both be ashamed of this 99 cent "edition", though in fairness, I suppose you get what you pay for, and I more or less assume the text is complete. But no pagination, the many footnotes are not linked, and the so-called Table of Contents reduced me to helpless giggling:Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4 Chapter 5 Chapter 5A Chapter 5B Chapter 5C Chapter 5D Chapter 6 Chapter 6A Chapter 6B Chapter 6C Chapter 6D Chapter 6E Chapter 6F Chapter 6G Chapter 6H Chapter 6I Chapter 7 Chapter 7A Chapter 7B Chapter 7C Chapter 7D Chapter 7E Chapter 7FNo, those are not links, it looks exactly like that, and is every bit as silly as it looks here. This public-domain hackwork should be free, not even 99 cents; in 5 minutes a competent secretary could have added the chapter links, and probably in another half hour do the footnotes. I don't think anybody spent even 15 minutes "preparing" this "edition", and every sale is 100% profit. Caveat emptor.Note that there is ANOTHER Kindle edition that appears to be the real thing, but for some reason did not appear in my original search, leading me to purchase this infuriating book. Don't; go here instead: The Interpretation of Dreams: The Complete and Definitive Text

It's interesting to see an example of the mind of Sigmund Freud. I have heard great thing about him and been wanting to read his books. This one, in particular is a great read. It can be a great start into manifesting your own dreams.

by the ever-turgid Strachey, who loves medical metaphors and Latinized phrasings more than Freud loved literary clarity; but aside from that, THE classic of psychoanalysis, and the first (and, for Freud, the favorite) of Freud's great works.One can imagine that modern dream research would have interested Freud as much as its reductionist speculations would have amused him. Certainly he'd never have argued that because a patient's stomach hurt during a painful recital of an early memory, this indigestible piece of emotional trauma was "caused" by the gastronomic rejection of a burnt piece of toast eaten just before the session. OF COURSE psychical activity has a physical substrate. And, perhaps, vice versa. What he'd have wanted to know was: in what psychological situation was all this embedded?One can't help but admire the boldness and honesty with which Freud presented his own dreams and associations. We might speculate in hindsight that Irma, the partially cured patient whom Freud tried to talk out of her hysteria, showed up in his dream with throat and stomach symptoms and an illness caused by a bad injection to protest the way he injected women with his sex-etiology theories, thereby in effect silencing their true voice; and smile at Freud's dream of an orator named Lecher, a dream he had shortly after accepting a position in which he did a lot of public speaking about psychology.But that we can speculate thus we owe largely to the techniques inspired by Freud himself. He was often wrong, but the spirit of his endeavor lives on.

Interesting read but fairly antiquated. Important for understanding modernest American writing.
